FAQ
Web design questions we would rather answer up front
Cost, timeline, ownership, revisions and what happens after launch. We publish all of it because making someone book a call to find out the price wastes everybody’s afternoon.

Everything people ask before hiring us
- How much does a website from Ascio Digital cost?
- Most projects land between $18,000 and $45,000. A Webflow marketing site starts at $18,000, a custom Next.js build at $28,000, and ecommerce at $32,000. The variables are the number of unique page templates, whether you need original photography or illustration, and how much content has to be migrated. We give you a fixed price before we start, and we do not bill hourly.
- How long does a web design project take?
- Six to ten weeks for most projects, twelve for large ecommerce catalogues. The two things that make projects run long are slow feedback rounds and content that is not ready. We schedule review sessions in advance and will write your copy if you would rather we did, which removes the most common delay entirely.
- Who owns the design files and the code?
- You do, completely, from the moment the final invoice is paid. The code lives in your GitHub organisation, the Figma file is transferred to your team, and the Webflow site is moved to your workspace. There is no licence, no lock-in, and no retainer required to keep using what you paid for.
- How do revisions work?
- Each project stage includes two structured revision rounds where we collect all feedback at once and respond to it together. Scattered one-off change requests are what turn a ten-week project into a six-month one, so we consolidate deliberately. If something is genuinely wrong rather than a matter of preference, we fix it and it does not count as a round.
- Will a redesign hurt my existing search rankings?
- It can, and that is the single most common way redesigns go wrong. We map every URL that currently earns organic traffic to its new destination before design begins, write and test the redirects against a live crawl, and preserve the titles and headings that already rank unless there is a specific reason to change them. We then monitor Search Console daily for the first two weeks after launch.
- Do you work with clients outside your timezone?
- Yes. Ascio Digital is remote-first and we currently work with clients across North America, Europe and Australia. We hold a fixed weekly call in a window that works for you and keep everything else asynchronous in writing, which most clients find faster than a calendar full of meetings.
- What happens after the site launches?
- Thirty days of monitoring and fixes are included: rankings, conversion rate, and field Core Web Vitals from real users. After that you can take it entirely in-house, or keep us on a lightweight monthly arrangement for iteration and new pages. There is no mandatory retainer, and we will not hold your hosting or domain to make leaving difficult.
- Do you write the website copy as well?
- Usually, yes, and we recommend it. The messaging hierarchy is decided during the structure phase and the design is built around specific sentences rather than filler. If you have a strong in-house writer we will happily work to their draft, but design and copy developed separately almost always fit each other badly.
